Final Event of the ALERT Project

Aluminum alloys are now at the forefront of the challenge of weight reduction in aeronautical and aerospace components. But how far can they go in terms of performance, reliability, and durability?
During the ALERT project, innovative surface treatments, functional coatings, and additive manufacturing technologies were integrated to counter critical phenomena such as fatigue and fretting, opening new perspectives for lighter, higher-performing, and more durable structures.
The project’s final event represents an opportunity for discussion between academic research and industrial partners, with the aim of sharing:
- the results achieved by the ALERT project;
- the industrial applications of the developed solutions;
- the prospects for technology transfer in the aerospace and advanced manufacturing sectors.
